Ariana Grande has cleared up the air about Botox use after jokingly crediting cosmetic injectables when accepting Rising Star Award at Palm Springs International Film Festival.

AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande has always been in the public eye, but her relationship with cosmetic treatments recently sparked renewed interest after she jokingly commented on her youthful looks during her Rising Star Award acceptance speech at the Palm Springs International Film Festival on January 3.

"I never thought at the age of 31 I would be hearing the words 'rising star' again, so I wanted to start by thanking my two friends: Botox and Juvederm," she quipped. However, after the event, the "Wicked" star quickly clarified that she was just having a bit of fun on stage.

In a red-carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight, Grande made sure to set the record straight. "Oh my gosh, my joke," she laughed, before assuring everyone, "I'm still clean, I'm still clean."

Grande, who is the founder of R.E.M. Beauty, emphasized the importance of transparency in her role. "I really want to be transparent as a beauty founder," she added, reaffirming her commitment to honesty about her cosmetic choices.

Back in September 2023, Grande revealed in a Vogue Beauty Secrets video that she had stopped using both Botox and fillers in 2018. She mentioned feeling as though she was "hiding" behind the treatments and expressed a newfound appreciation for her natural lines.

"For a long time, beauty was about hiding for me, and now I feel like maybe it's not," she shared in the emotional clip. "I just want to see my well-earned cry lines and smile lines. … These are just thoughts that I feel like we should be able to discuss when we're talking about beauty secrets."

Grande's candidness continued as she reflected on Hollywood's beauty standards. "I've been performing since I was a child, so I never thought at the age of 31 I would be hearing the words 'rising star' again," she joked again.

While the Grammy winner is committed to embracing her natural beauty, at least for now, she appreciates the support cosmetic treatments offer. "But I love it, and I support it," she said. "But I am still four years clean. You see the lines? I love them!"

The singer-actress also addressed plastic surgery and BBL rumors in a Vanity Fair lie detector test, denying a nose job and having implants. When asked if she had a facelift, she humorously replied, "No, not yet. I'm open."
