On the morning of December 23, police swarmed the Los Angeles home of Casper Smart. Authorities acted on a tip-off that the professional dancer/actor was running a cannabis grow operation from his property. Arriving just before 9 a.m., officers executed the search with a valid warrant. Casper Smart and an unidentified woman were present at the time of the raid.
During the search, law enforcement discovered a small- to medium-sized grow operation at Smart's residence. However, rather than taking Smart into custody, officers opted to cite and release him on the scene.
