AceShowbiz - Blake Lively's supporters continues to grow this week with the vocal support of her friend and fellow actress Kaitlin Olson. Olson voiced her support for Lively on her Instagram Story, writing, "Blake Lively is a kind, lovely, honest and generous person (and an incredible mom,) FYI." Olson's statement came in response to The New York Times' coverage of Lively's legal action against her "It Ends With Us" co-star Justin Baldoni. She accused him of sexual harassment and a smear campaign.
Lively and Olson's connection stems from their husbands, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who co-own the Welsh soccer club Wrexham A.F.C. Despite their geographic distance -Lively in U.S. and Olson in Europe - Olson has expressed admiration for Lively and her character. She wished she could spend more time with both Lively and Reynolds, describing Reynolds as a "lovely" individual.
Lively's complaint against Baldoni includes allegations of "social manipulation" and a "smear campaign." Lively hopes her legal action will protect others who may face similar retaliatory tactics for speaking out. Baldoni's lawyer has denied the allegations, calling them "false, outrageous, and intentionally salacious."
Olson's support adds to the growing number of stars who have rallied behind Lively, including "A Simple Favor" director Paul Feig and Lively's "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" co-stars America Ferrera, Alexis Bledel, and Amber Tamblyn. Lively's "It Ends With Us" co-stars Jenny Slate and Brandon Sklenar, and author Colleen Hoover have also voiced their support.
