Smith and Payne, who were childhood friends, dated from 2013 to 2015. After their split, Smith went on to date Bridgwood, whom she met in June 2022. They announced their pregnancy in December 2022 and welcomed their daughter in April 2023.

Payne, who passed away at 31, was dating Kate Cassidy at the time of his death. He was also previously romantically linked to Cheryl Cole and Maya Henry.

Smith, who has over 800,000 Instagram followers, has expressed her happiness for her former boyfriend. Despite their breakup, she has maintained a good relationship with Payne.
