AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian has found herself in hot water due to her recent music project. After releasing the official visuals for her "Santa Baby" cover, "The Kardashians" series regular was highly criticized by many.
On Monday, December 23, the -year-old reality TV star/actress was met with backlash over her controversial MV. Taking to Instagram, one online critic pointed out, "This is scary and demonic." Another, meanwhile, compared the scenes in the clip to Sean "P. Diddy" Combs' parties, "This just look like how they be describing diddy parties."
A third protested, "No suh . Everyone keep painting weird vibes as ' creative ' and that's the problem, the energy this Gives off is demonic. Praying for Kim cause this ain't it." A fourth complained, "WTF even is this? Rich people really don't be having nothing better to do than THE MOST and the least at the same time. Cause, huh?"
A fifth, in the meantime, appeared to have blamed Travis Barker, who produced the music video, for the visuals. Making a reference to Kim's older sister Kourtney Kardashian, the user argued, "Travis playing out his fantasies, involving his wife's sister. Ok." A sixth penned in part, "I don't think a lot of you guys understand just how sick demonic twisted this video actually is. There are so many things to unpack here."
The comments came shortly after Kim released her own cover of "Santa Baby". The track was accompanied by the music video featuring "Home Alone" actor Macaulay Culkin, who dressed up in a Santa Claus costume.
The lo-fi music video is set at a chaotic and bizarre Christmas party, filmed with a VHS aesthetic. Kim is seen crawling on all fours in a blonde wig while an eclectic cast of characters celebrates the holiday in unconventional ways. The video concludes with a creepy Santa and elf.
