"Zero Day" stars De Niro as George Mullen, a former U.S. president who now helms the Zero Day Commission. Mullen is yanked out of retirement to team up with the current president, Evelyn Mitchell, portrayed by Angela Bassett, to identify and apprehend those responsible for the catastrophic attack. "Three thousand, four-hundred, two people died on Zero Day," De Niro's Mullen gravely intones in the trailer, setting the stage for a narrative steeped in chaos and uncertainty.
