AceShowbiz - Following "The Real Housewives of Potomac" star Karen Huger's guilty verdict in her March 2024 DUI case, producer Andy Cohen has expressed his sadness. "I think it's all sad," Cohen told PEOPLE at SiriusXM's Annual Radio Andy Holiday Hangout. "I haven't really processed it yet, but I think it's very sad."
Huger, 61, was charged with six counts, including DUI, negligent driving, and reckless driving, after she was pulled over after a single-vehicle collision in Potomac, Maryland. She was found guilty on five of the charges, including the lead charge of DUI.
Huger's attorney, A. Scott Bolden, said in a statement that they were disappointed in the verdict but respected the jury's decision and intend to pursue an appeal. Bolden also requested support for Huger and her family during this time.
The police body cam footage from Huger's arrest has been released, showing her dodging questions from police about her alcohol consumption. Her husband, Ray Huger, suggested she had "a couple of beers," which she confirmed.
Huger is scheduled to be sentenced on January 29, 2025, and faces up to two years in prison.
