The 76-year-old royal remains in good spirits despite his ongoing cancer treatment, as he jokes about his health during a royal visit with Queen Camilla.

AceShowbiz - King Charles III visited Walthamstow on Friday, December 20 with Queen Camilla, continuing his official engagements despite his ongoing cancer treatment. During a reception at Waltham Forest Town Hall, the King joked, "I'm still alive," in response to Sikh faith representative Harvinder Rattan's question about his well-being.

The King was diagnosed with cancer after a routine procedure for an enlarged prostate. Buckingham Palace has not disclosed the specific type of cancer, but sources have confirmed it is not prostate cancer.

Palace sources told Sky News that King Charles' treatment has been "moving in a positive direction" and will continue into 2025. The King has resumed his public duties but postponed some engagements to focus on his health.

During the visit to Walthamstow, King Charles and Queen Camilla were greeted by crowds and attended a reception celebrating community cohesion. The royal couple donated toys to Citizens UK for children in asylum hotels and provided a donation to a food bank.

King Charles' remark comes as palace sources express optimism about his health. Dame Laura Lee, CEO of the cancer support charity Maggie's, explained that ongoing treatment for cancer over long periods is common, including immunotherapy, chemotherapy, surgery and hormone therapy.

The King's active schedule in recent weeks, including his interactions with crowds, choirs and Christmas festivities, demonstrates his continued engagement despite his health condition.

Despite the ongoing treatment, King Charles remains engaged in his royal duties, highlighting the resilience and determination he has shown throughout his battle with cancer.
