Streaming giant Spotify has issued a statement, vehemently denying the allegations launched by Drake in a legal tug-of-war over streaming numbers amid his feud with Kendrick Lamar.

AceShowbiz - In a legal petition filed last month, Drake, through his company Frozen Moments, accused Spotify and his own label, Universal Music Group (UMG), of artificially inflating the track's streams to boost Lamar's position in their ongoing feud.
Spotify responded to Drake's petition, stating that it "has no economic incentive for users to stream 'Not Like Us' over any of Drake's tracks." The music streaming giant also denied any arrangement with UMG to charge reduced licensing rates for "Not Like Us" in exchange for increased audibility.
Furthermore, Spotify claims to have found no evidence to support Drake's petition's allegation that an unnamed individual used bots to boost the song's streams by 30 million.
In a separate legal action, Drake accused UMG of being aware that "Not Like Us" falsely accused him of pedophilia yet chose to distribute it anyway. The petition also alleges that UMG "funneled payments" to iHeart radio as part of a "pay-to-play scheme."
UMG has denied these allegations, stating that "the suggestion that UMG would do anything to undermine any of its artists is offensive and untrue."
While the legal battle continues, it remains uncertain how it will impact the artists or the music industry at large.
