AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande is not saying goodbye to touring, but she's taking a break for now. In an interview, the "Wicked" star expressed her gratitude for acting but emphasized that music will always be a part of her life. However, she does not see a tour in her immediate future.
"The next few years, hopefully we'll be exploring different forms of art, and I think acting is feeling like home right now," said Grande. "I am appreciative for [my fans'] understanding."
Grande portrays Glinda in both "Wicked" films, with the first part premiering in November. She also joked that she would "perform at [her] mother's house" if fans were eager to see her perform.
Grande's record label, Republic Records, previously cleared up rumors about a 2025 tour after Ticketmaster's website listed events connected to the singer. "There are no plans for a tour next year, but Ariana remains deeply appreciative of her fans and all their continued love, support and excitement," the label wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Despite not planning a tour, Grande has expressed interest in performing sporadic shows between the two "Wicked" films. "I think it would be a really lovely idea to be able to trickle in some shows in between the two Wicked films," she said in a previous interview.
Grande's last tour, the "Sweetener" world tour, took place in 2019 to promote her albums "Sweetener" and "Thank U, Next."
