The former 'Saturday Night Live' star opens up about his desire to shift his public perception, move away from dating headlines and embrace creative ventures beyond acting.

AceShowbiz - Pete Davidson, the former "Saturday Night Live" star, reflects on the challenges of being constantly in the spotlight. He confesses that he's eager to be recognized for his work, not just his personal life. "I don't want to be this f**king loser who just dates people," Davidson told W Magazine. "That's not who I am."

He attributes his past oversaturation in the media to taking on too many opportunities. "I made the mistake of doing literally everything," he admitted. Now, he's prioritizing quality over quantity, drawing inspiration from actors like Christian Bale and Leonardo DiCaprio, who rarely appear in films but consistently make an impact.

Davidson's decision to step back from the limelight has allowed him to focus on his mental health and relationships. He credits the "Hollywood shovel" for waking him up to the negative consequences of excessive attention. "It was a long time coming, and I needed it. I'm very happy where I am right now, mentally," he said.

In addition to his work on the animated movie "Dog Man", Davidson has become the creative director of sock brand Doublesoul. He finds fulfillment in using his creativity behind the scenes and expressing his eccentric style through this venture.

Davidson acknowledges that the media often targets celebrities for destruction. However, he sees this as a blessing in disguise, prompting him to re-evaluate his life and priorities.

"What do you want to be? Who are you?" he asked. "I'm someone who is from Staten Island, wanted to do stand-up, and if I got to do anything else because of stand-up, it was a miracle."
