AceShowbiz - Dr. Terry Dubrow has revealed what he knows about Brandi Glanville's severe skin condition. The "Botched" star said that "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum's swollen face may take one year to treat.
Recently, the 66-year-old plastic surgeon was approached by a TMZ reporter, who asked for his opinions on the 52-year-old former reality TV star's skin condition. In a video that was published by the media outlet on Thursday, December 12, he said, "What I'm concerned about with Brandy is that she has an infectious process or a foreign body reaction to something she has had injected."
Dr. Terry went on to say, "Here's what Brandi really needs to focus on. It's not her fault, it's her doctor's fault. Brandi needs a diagnosis. She has to figure out if there's a microorganism in there. It's not going to be a parasite. It's not going to be from something she ate."
The surgeon explained, "It's going to be from something that has got into her bloodstream though and seeded maybe some foreign body," before stressing, "So Brandy needs a diagnosis." He continued, "At the end of the day, there are these two kinds of microorganisms... and they could be very difficult to treat and could take 6 to 12 months of antibiotics to treat."
Dr. Terry further warned, "And here's the problem, Brandy. She's like a ticking time bomb. Every minute that microorganism is allowed to stay in her skin and do potential damage. She could suffer worse for it. It could be more difficult to treat and she could form more scar and more nodules."
The warning came after Brandi made headlines for her severe skin condition. Earlier in December, she opened up about her condition, "What happened? I wish I knew I've been in & out of the hospital this passed year 1/2 spent almost every dollar I have trying to figure it out. Some Dr.'s say I have a parasite that jumps around my face. Some say it's stress induced edema." Later on, she candidly shared that she had lost 5 teeth from health issues.
