AceShowbiz - Bethenny Frankel has delivered a scathing review of Lisa Rinna's husband Harry Hamlin's jarred pasta sauce. In a TikTok video, Frankel compared Hamlin's rosemary red wine sauce to Rao's, a popular supermarket brand, in a blind taste test.
After trying Rao's, Frankel commented that it was "nice." However, upon tasting Hamlin's sauce, she immediately made a sour face and exclaimed, "No, I don't know what that is!" Frankel described the sauce as having a strong "vinegar or wine" taste.
Frankel explained that she wasn't trying to be "mean" but wanted to give honest feedback. She advised Hamlin to "try another flavor" and warned that "business is hard" and it's better to have a friend give constructive criticism than hear it from strangers.
In a subsequent video, Frankel tried heating up Hamlin's sauce but still found it unsatisfactory. "Oh my god, it's worse," she said, describing the wine flavor as overpowering.
Frankel's review sparked a reaction from Hamlin and Rinna's daughter, Amelia Gray, who urged her to cook the sauce. Frankel followed up, but her opinion remained negative.
Frankel emphasized that she doesn't give preferential treatment to friends and family in her reviews. She warned brands that she gets sent many products and won't review them if she doesn't like them. "Do not send me products if you don't want an honest review," she said. "Business is tough."
Frankel concluded by suggesting that Hamlin's home-cooked sauce may differ from the jarred version. "What he makes in his house is not what was formulated, co-packed, and put onto those shelves, that I can guarantee," she said.
