AceShowbiz - Brandi Glanville is facing a mysterious health condition that has left her with a swollen face and a host of other symptoms. The 52-year-old reality TV star, best known for her appearances on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," has been seeking answers for over a year, spending over $70,000 on medical expenses.
Her condition left unable to leave her house, "I don't socialize. I don't go out." She added that she spent all her money on her medical care in a desperate attempt to find the cure, "I have so many doctors and I've had so many tests."
Glanville believes she may have contracted a parasite during a trip to Morocco six months before her symptoms began. "We had food sitting out for hours on end, and some of it was meat," she said. "I started having this speaking thing and the swelling up thing in July, and we're still here trying to figure it out."
Glanville's symptoms have included angioedema, a condition that causes sudden swelling of the face, throat, and other body parts. She has had lab work done and consulted numerous doctors, but no definitive diagnosis has been reached.
Meanwhile, Glanville has been keeping a low profile, avoiding social events and social media. She has also been watching the latest season of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," which she described as "garbage" but "a train wreck you can't stop watching."
Glanville's health struggles have taken a toll on her personal and professional life. She has blamed the stress of her former role on "The Real Housewives" for her health issues. "I've had a great 13-year run," she said. "It seems like it's always when I'm on Bravo that it's hard. All the other ones have been really easy. So, going back to Bravo ruined my life."
Glanville is currently receiving treatment from Dr. Nicholas Nikolov, who is using a "cell sound procedure" to address her condition. She hopes to find answers and regain her health soon.
