On Monday, December 9, the 81-year-old actor made use of his social media account to share the new picture that captured his sweet moment with his young granddaughter. In the image, he beamed with joy while holding the baby girl.

"brought my beautiful granddaughter over. Check out her fanny!" so the former "Community" star captioned the photo. While many were loving the pure interaction that Chevy displayed with his granddaughter, others were distracted by his black eye.

"Such a precious photo," someone commented on the post, adding, "and I'm sorry to see your injured, I hope your eye gets well soon." Another voiced similar concern, "Uh… what happened to your EYE?!?!?!"

"Is your eye ok??" a third asked in the comments section. A fourth similarly inquired, "What's up with your eye ?!" A fifth follower joked, "Did that little baby just beat up Chevy? Blink twice if you need help Chevy."

In response to the growing curiosity, a representative for Chevy has offered a lighthearted explanation. "He does not like to brag, but he fights crime late at night. You can thank him later," the rep joked to TMZ.
