Since 2016, Mensch managed the expansive 300-acre Tyler Perry Studios located in Atlanta, which is considered one of the largest production lots in the United States. The lot, housed at the former Fort McPherson army base, is home to both Perry's projects and productions from outside studios.
Before his tenure at Tyler Perry Studios, Mensch had a distinguished career including roles such as president of Third Rail Studios in Georgia and director of studio and location operations at Turner Broadcasting.
Under Mensch's leadership, the Atlanta studio became a major hub for film and TV production and a significant player in the Georgia business community. He was a member of the Board of Governors of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and a founding member and chair of the Georgia Screen Entertainment Coalition. Mensch's contributions extended to several arts organizations across the state, further cementing his legacy in the entertainment industry.
Steve Mensch is survived by his wife and three children. As the community mourns his passing, his impact on the industry and the people who knew him remains immeasurable.
