Ariana Grande candidly shares her feelings after she was asked in an interview how she handles the 'overwhelming' pressure on women to 'always look perfect.'

AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande has opened up about the "horrible" and "dangerous" comments she has faced about her weight loss. In an interview with French journalist Sally, Grande was asked how she handles the "overwhelming" pressure on women to "always look perfect."

Holding back tears, she admitted that she has "heard every version" of criticism about her appearance. "But that's everything from, even just the simplest thing, your appearance, you know?" she said, adding that it can be difficult to protect herself from the scrutiny.

Grande emphasized that even seemingly innocuous comments from family members can be harmful. "No matter who you are, being critiqued for your appearance endlessly is just horrible," she said.

She condemned the "comfortability" that people have with commenting on others' bodies, calling it "really dangerous for all parties involved."

Grande said that she has learned to tune out the criticism by leaning into her work and friends. "I just don't invite it in anymore. It's not welcome," she insisted. "I have work to do, I have a life to live."

She urged others to protect themselves from harmful comments, saying, "However you all can protect yourselves from that noise, whether it's at a family reunion or online, you keep yourself safe because no one has the right to say s**t."

Grande's comments come after she faced online backlash for her slimmed-down appearance. In a 2023 TikTok video, she addressed body shamers, saying that her previous "healthy" weight was actually the result of unhealthy habits like antidepressant use and poor nutrition.
