AceShowbiz - It seems like Heidi Klum has had enough with criticism of her controversial lingerie ad featuring herself and daughter Leni Klum. The "America's Got Talent" judge, who has been under fire for the risque photo shoot, reportedly has responded strongly to the backlash.
Amid the criticism, fans noticed that Heidi has turned off comments on her latest Instagram ad for Intimissimi, which has been landing the pair in hot water. Internet users deemed the campaign "weird" and "disturbing" as it saw the mom and daughter duo showing their skin in revealing lingeries.
Recently, Heidi and Leni faced backlash after they modeled various sets of lingerie in a video promoting the brand's Fall/Winter collection. In the clip, the 55-year-old model's 20-year-old daughter could be seen donning a see-through bra while pouting for the camera.
The two were also seen twinning in red satin loungewear. She additionally was featured stripping down to a red bra, flaunting her stunning figure. Another snap, meanwhile, saw the pair embracing each other on the couch.
Upon catching wind of the campaign, some social media users were not impressed as they immediately called out Heidi for the "inappropriate" and "strange" photo shoot. "Am I the only one thinking this is a bit weird? This campaign at least doesn't work for me. Like who dresses up in lingerie with his mom and prances around taking pics? I don't know... I mean nothing wrong with that but it's like not something that makes sense in an ad, when I am looking to buy lingerie and stuff..." one person questioned. "This is so strange ? What kind of advert is this ??? another user commented.
However, some others came to Heidi's defense. "They are just modeling. They are not making out. Mother and daughter modeling for the same brand," a fan wrote, seemingly thinking it wasn't a big deal.
Echoing the sentiment, one other gushed, "BEAUTIFUL and I don't understand the comments who say it is weird to do this with your mom. WHY? Do they eventually see the female body and lingerie as something always sexual? Or what is the problem? I'm really curious to understand their way of thinking, because to me, this is just a mother & daughter who are like best friends LOVE IT."
Despite blocking the Instagram comments, Heidi has yet to directly address the criticism.
