In an emotional post on her social media page, Jennifer Garner pays tribute to her beloved Golden Retriever named Birdie, who passed away shortly after falling ill.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Garner has shared the heartbreaking news that her dog, Birdie, has passed away. In an emotional Instagram post, the actress revealed that Birdie had fallen ill on November 21st and passed away a few days later.
"It's hard to know how to write this," Garner wrote. "Given the world we live in, it seems crazy to mourn a pet, but since we've shared Birdie with all of you, it only seems fair to let you know of her passing."
Garner, who shares three children with her ex-husband Ben Affleck, explained that she realized Birdie was sick when she stopped eating her food. Despite taking her to the veterinarian, they were surprised to learn that she was very ill and at the end of her life.
The actress believes that Birdie hung on until Thanksgiving so that Garner's daughter, Violet, could return home from college to say goodbye. According to the veterinarian, dogs often wait until their people come home from college before passing away.
Garner shared a carousel of photos and videos of her time with Birdie, expressing her gratitude for the joy she brought into her life. She described Birdie as a beloved family member who loved to be read to, participated in pretend cooking shows, and provided comfort as a therapy dog.
Garner added that while Birdie is gone, she will never forget her. "It's a gift to love and be loved by such a creature as Birdie the Doggie," she wrote.
Friends and fans offered their condolences to Garner, including fellow actress Jennifer Aniston, who commented, "I'm so sorry. Sending so much love."
