Among her encounters, Cher holds particular disdain for Peter Bogdanovich, with whom she collaborated on the 1985 film "Mask." She recalls his arrogance, hostility toward female cast members, and a confrontational moment when he questioned her input during filming.

Calling the late director "a pig," Cher said, "He was an a**hole. He was not nice to the girls in the film and he was so f***ing arrogant. I really, really disliked him."

Bogdanovich, who passed away in 2022, had previously claimed that Cher was a challenging actor to work with and mistrustful of men.

Cher also had an unpleasant experience with Frank Oz on the set of "Mermaids" (1990). She claims that Oz had a personal grudge against her, often using unflattering comments. The situation escalated to the point where Cher demanded Oz's dismissal, leading to his replacement by Richard Benjamin.

Despite these unfavorable experiences, Cher maintains that she is generally easy to collaborate with. She attributes her ability to work harmoniously with respected directors, such as Bob Altman, Mike Nichols, and Norman Jewison, to her willingness to listen and respect their vision.
