Whoopi Goldberg makes a shocking allegation about a famous New York bakery when celebrating her 69th birthday celebration with her co-hosts on 'The View'.

AceShowbiz - "The View" co-host Whoopi Goldberg celebrated her 69th birthday with a special surprise that ended up revealing more than just scrumptious desserts.

On the November 13 episode of "The View," Whoopi Goldberg paid tribute to her late mother by sharing her favorite dessert, Charlotte Russe treats, with her co-hosts. These desserts originated from Holtermann's Bakery on Staten Island. Initially, the bakery refused Goldberg's order, leading her to believe it was due to her left-leaning political stance.

During the live show, Goldberg disclosed, "Now, I should tell you, Charlotte Russe has no political leanings, and the place that made these refused to make them for me... Perhaps they did not like my politics."

Her statement resulted in audible gasps from the studio audience. Despite the refusal, Goldberg managed to get the desserts, thanks to unidentified individuals who picked up around 50 of them on the morning of the show.

Holtermann's Bakery was identified as the bakery that refused Goldberg's order. However, contrary to Goldberg's speculation, the bakery owner, Jill Holtermann, clarified to EW that political beliefs had no part in the refusal of the order.

Instead, she cited technical difficulties with their boiler as the actual reason. "We have so many things going on with my boiler," Holtermann said, explaining that their equipment issues would have made it difficult to fulfill the order on time.

In a statement countering the political bias claims, Holtermann explained, "I said to Whoopi, 'I can't do it right now.' They'd asked us, and we were having trouble with our boilers... because the building is from 1930, so when she called me, I had no idea [if we could] be baking everything."
