AceShowbiz - Eva Longoria is embracing the upcoming milestone of turning 50, not with fear or reluctance, but with enthusiasm. As she graces the cover of Marie Claire for its Wednesday issue, the 49-year-old actress reveals her dedication to aging gracefully and living a fulfilling life.
In her Marie Claire interview, Longoria shares her comprehensive wellness routine, which includes cold-plunging, red light therapy, strength training, meditation, journaling, and various supplements. "I'm doing everything," Longoria emphasizes. "Not because I don't want to age but because I do want to age."
Inspired by role models like Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lopez, Longoria is confident in her career prospects post-50. "For me, age is just a number, but I'm excited," she declares. "I refuse to believe my greatest success is behind me."
Longoria's defiance extends to past roles that required her to portray nudity onscreen. Reflecting on those experiences, she asserts, "I'm like, 'I would totally do that photo shoot at 50.'"
While Longoria remains active in entertainment, she has relocated to Spain and Mexico, where she resides with her husband, Jose Baston, and their 6-year-old son, Santiago. She candidly comments on her departure from Los Angeles, stating, "Whether it's the homelessness or the taxes, not that I want to shit on California-it just feels like this chapter in my life is done now."
Longoria's awareness of the challenges facing society also weighs on her mind. "I'm privileged," she acknowledges. "I get to escape and go somewhere. Most Americans aren't so lucky. They're going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them."
