AceShowbiz - Machine Gun Kelly is the first American artist to headline an NFL Halftime show outside the United States. The "More Than Life" artist has made his fans proud with his "incredible" performance during the big event in Germany.
On Monday, November 11, the 34-year-old musician, who is also famous as MGK, received positive online responses from social media users following his entertaining performance. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one in particular gushed, "that was incredible," adding a slew of flame emojis.
Similarly, another chimed in, "That's so amazing, really proud of him … briliant performance!" A third exclaimed, "Performing for a crowd of 75k and pregnant with Megan Fox? Bros livin large," making a reference to his on-and-off girlfriend who is currently pregnant with their first child together. A fourth marveled, "So proud of you kells."
The supportive comments came one day after MGK took the stage at the league's final international game of the 2024 regular season in Munich, where the New York Giants played against the Carolina Panthers. During the halftime show, he belted out some of his songs, including "papercuts" that he released in 2022, in front of a crowd of more than 75,000 NFL fans.
For the particular performance, MGK showed off his skills in playing a guitar as he stood on a high platform that was placed in the center of the stage. He sang, "Bleach my hair, mess it up/ Take my life, dress it up/ Signed a deal, I got papercuts/ They wanted them, but they got us/ Yeah, yeah, uh/ Uh, sleepin' in, faked sick/ Smoked a blunt, had a kid/ Don't belong, I'm a punk/ Hello world, you f**king suck."
After taking the stage, MGK shared a short video from his performance on Instagram. Alongside the clip, he wrote, "my dad was born here in germany, he's in the sky somewhere watching 70,000 people sing with us. today we became the first American artist to do an international NFL half time show. i'm honored to have been given this opportunity thank you."
