Though Thugger expressed his wish to remain working together with Gunna during his sentencing, his shady tweet has prompted a fierce reply from Wunna's brother.

AceShowbiz - Young Thug and Gunna have once again got people questioning the state of their relationship following the YSL RICO case. In the wake of Thug's release from prison, their beef speculation has been reignited by his recent social media post.
Thug's account on X, formerly known as Twitter, recently posted and deleted a series of messages, including one shady remark aimed at Gunna. "Gunna stop acting like we friends on the internet, I don't know u my guy," read the particular tweet.
The post has been since removed, but not before it caught the attention of Gunna's brother DP. After The Shade Room reposted the tweet, an Instagram account reportedly belonging to Wunna's brother commented under the post, "Trust and believe the feeling is mutual."
While many speculated that Thug's X account might have been hacked, the response of Gunna's brother has insinuated that there is tension between the two rappers. Nevertheless, the two have been sending mixed signals during the much-publicized YSL RICO case and Thug's trial.
Gunna was among 28 persons associated with YSL Records who were charged in a 56-count RICO Act indictment. He was released after entering an Alford plea in December 2022. While many accused Gunna of snitching on Thug with his plea deal, he has remained steadfast on his support for his mentor.
Meanwhile, during his sentencing in late October, Thugger's lawyer asked that biological brother Quantavious Grier and Gunna be exempted from the list of the other co-defendants in the YSL RICO trial that he could not contact. The lawyer reasoned that the exemption is needed so that his client is able to continue his rap career.
However, Thug was believed to have thrown shade at Gunna following his release. On November 3, he posted a cryptic tweet referring to a possible collaboration with Lil Baby. The message read, "Wham let's drop one on these rats peter." The reference to "rats" and a possible individual named "Peter" has led some to believe Thug may be throwing shade at Gunna.
Lil Baby later responded to Thug's tweet with a heartfelt message, stating, "I missed you mf!! Welcome home my brudda!"
