AceShowbiz - Adele has been delighting audiences during her "Weekends with Adele" residency in Las Vegas, and her performance on November 1 included a special tribute to actress Meryl Streep.
During the show, Adele emerged in costume as Madeline Ashton, Streep's character from the 1992 film "Death Becomes Her." Wearing a silver jacket, blonde wig, and large necklace, Adele serenaded the crowd with her song "When We Were Young." However, her performance was interrupted when she spotted Streep standing in the audience.
Adele greeted the Oscar-winning actress with a cheerful "Hello" and curtsied before her. Streep returned the gesture with a bow, and the two shared an affectionate hug. "I love you," Adele declared to Streep between lyrics.
The tribute was not the only memorable moment of Adele's residency. On October 26, she shared a tearful embrace with Celine Dion during her show. Adele had been singing "When We Were Young" when she approached Dion, who held her face and kissed her hand.
In a post on social media, Adele expressed her gratitude for the moment, stating that she had been performing in Dion's room at the Colosseum for nearly two years and had always wanted to play there because it had been designed for her.
Dion later paid tribute to the special evening in an Instagram post, praising Adele's performance and the emotional night they all experienced.
