AceShowbiz - Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia has publicly addressed her recent breakup with Zach Bryan, expressing her shock and heartbreak over the sudden split.
On October 22, just hours after Bryan announced their separation on Instagram, Brianna LaPaglia shared an emotional video on YouTube. LaPaglia, who has gone by the online alias "Chickenfry," expressed her disbelief at the public announcement, saying she had no prior knowledge of Bryan's plans.
"I just woke up to Zach posting on his Instagram that we broke up, and I had no idea that post was going up. He didn't text me, he didn't call me," she said, visibly distressed.
LaPaglia, who sat on her bathroom floor during the video, revealed that Bryan's decision left her "completely blindsided." She went on to describe the heartache she had been experiencing since their breakup the previous day.
"I've been crying for like five days straight," she admitted. "I'm at the point where it's like, how can you give someone everything and love them so unconditionally, like through stuff that you shouldn't because you just love them and you want them...?"
Bryan, in his Instagram post, had acknowledged the difficulties he had faced in the past year. "I have had an incredibly hard year personally and struggled through some pretty severe things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go our different ways," he wrote.
LaPaglia said that she initially wanted to "heal privately" but was forced to address the situation publicly after Bryan's announcement. She asked her followers to respect her privacy and thanked them for their messages of support.
"I'm just going to be hurt for a week and lay in bed. I just didn't want it to be public. I'm just feeling blindsided," she said.
The couple first met at the Academy of Country Music Awards in May 2023 and went public with their relationship shortly after. They made their red carpet debut at the 2024 Grammy Awards and celebrated their one-year anniversary in July 2024.
