The acclaimed TV creator/producer has expressed his admiration for the pop superstar and revealed his long-standing efforts to collaborate with the singer.

AceShowbiz - Ryan Murphy, the mastermind behind numerous TV hits, has long admired Taylor Swift and has recently taken a huge step by casting her NFL star boyfriend Travis Kelce on his latest FX thriller "Grotesquerie".
Murphy has never been shy about his admiration for Taylor Swift. "I've talked to Taylor's people about various things through the years, and all I will say is that I think she's great and if she ever has time to do it, I would do it in a heartbeat," he enthused while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter.
While Swift has yet to grace one of Murphy's projects, Kelce has made his scripted television debut, embodying the character Ed "Eddie" Laclan on Murphy's chilling new series "Grotesquerie".
Travis Kelce's role on "Grotesquerie" appears to be a serendipitous move. "I always knew Travis could do it," Murphy commented, adding, "I have this saying: A star is a star is a star. I just knew he could do it. He rolls up his sleeves and he says, 'OK, let’s do this.' "
On the series, Kelce plays a hospital orderly who is more than meets the eye, guiding Niecy Nash-Betts’ character, Detective Lois Tryon, through a dark and twisted narrative where nothing is as it seems.
Interestingly, Murphy didn't shy away from embedding Easter eggs on the show. In a nod to Swift's "Red" album, Kelce and Nash-Betts characters hop into a red getaway car in episode three. Furthermore, Murphy revealed that speaking about Swift with Kelce on set was a bit daunting for him. "He's very sweet about it and respectful," Murphy mentioned of Kelce's reaction, who is reportedly a huge Swift fan himself.
Aside from his work on "Grotesquerie", Kelce has been diversifying his entertainment portfolio. He is set to host Prime Video's upcoming game show, "Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?", a spin-off of "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?". He's also dipped his toes into executive production with the dark comedy "My Dead Friend Zoe".
As for Taylor Swift, fans can only hope that her schedule will align for a collaboration with Murphy soon. With a rich history in the acting world, including appearances in films like "Valentine's Day", "Cats" and "Amsterdam", Swift's addition to any of Murphy's projects would undoubtedly be met with great enthusiasm.
In the meantime, viewers can catch Travis Kelce bringing his A-game to "Grotesquerie", which airs Wednesdays at 10 P.M. ET/PT on FX and streams the next day on Hulu.
