AceShowbiz - Brantley Gilbert had "one hell of" a story to share when his wife, Amber Cochran Gilbert, went into labor during the middle of his concert in Tupelo, Mississippi. Just a few songs into his Off the Rails Tour performance at Cadence Bank Arena, the 39-year-old country rock singer was alerted to an emergency backstage. Little did he know, this emergency was the imminent arrival of his third child.
Rushing off stage, Brantley found Amber in labor on their tour bus, where she delivered their son. The name of their newborn has not yet been disclosed. After spending some brief yet precious moments with their newborn and calling family members to share the good news, Brantley did something extraordinary - he returned to finish his concert.
Documenting the night in an Instagram video, Brantley shared his excitement and pride, stating, "So last night might have been the craziest night of my life. Watching such an amazing woman do such an amazing thing is something I'll never forget." Brantley expressed his gratitude towards their road family, Brittany Thornton for her assistance, and the supportive audience in Tupelo.
The video also captured a heartfelt conversation between Brantley and his mother, showcasing the singer's raw emotions. "Not as good as you are about to be. You got a new grandbaby," he told his mother. "I got a new grandbaby? I do?" she replied ecstatically, leading to a touching montage of Brantley holding his newborn's hands.
Once back on stage, Brantley shared the joyous news with his audience, exclaiming, "We got a baby," which was met with roaring cheers. He then displayed pictures of the birth and embraced his bandmates, soaking in the emotional high of the evening.
Brantley and Amber, who have been married since 2015, also share a son Barrett, 6, and a daughter Braylen Hendrix, 5. They had announced Amber's pregnancy with their third child in May, posting ultrasound photos alongside their children with the caption, "How's this for a Mother's Day?"
In a heartfelt caption accompanying the video, Brantley praised his wife, "Thank you to our road family for rallying around us, Brittany Thornton for helping us bring this little dude into the world, Tupelo, Mississippi for showing us mad love and support, and most of all… Amber Gilbert, for letting me love you and showing me EXACTLY how incredibly strong a woman can be. I love you."
