Samuel L. Jackson, 75, and LaTanya Richardson Jackson, 74, met while studying at Morehouse and Spelman colleges. They have been married since 1980 and share a daughter, Zoe Jackson, 42. In an interview, Samuel revealed that their marriage has involved "a lot of tolerance."

"Everybody's got flaws, and not giving up when it would be easy to give up," he said. "I've done s**t in my marriage that's crazy, you know? She has, too, in her head, or whatever in reality, but you got to go, 'Is that a breakup offense?' Or is it just that we need to spend a little time together and get some understanding about it?"

LaTanya has learned to ignore certain aspects of Samuel's personality and accept that he is dedicated to his acting career. "One of the things she had to accept is that I'm going to go to work," he said. "I'm going to go to work all the time until, you know, it's time."

The couple has faced challenges, including Samuel's past drug addiction. He recalled being found by his wife and daughter in a precarious state and going to rehab the following day. LaTanya emphasized their commitment to staying together despite difficulties.
