AceShowbiz - During an appearance on "The Talk" on Monday, September 23, Wayne Brady surprised viewers by announcing his plans for a vasectomy. "I will get a vasectomy," he declared. "I've already got two. I'm 52. I'm done."

Brady, who shares 21-year-old daughter Maile with ex-wife Mandie Taketa, recently welcomed his second child, son Val Henry, with his ex-girlfriend Tina in 2022. While he initially expressed shock at the news, Brady is determined to be a loving and present father to both his children.

"I never want Val to grow up thinking that he should be ashamed or look back and go, 'Oh, my dad didn't want me,' " he said. "Because I want him, in his own way, to know that I love him as much as I love Maile."

Taketa, who had previously expressed concern for Brady's mental health due to the timing of his ex-girlfriend's pregnancy, acknowledged the challenges they faced as a family. "It was a struggle to begin with," she said. "So it was that on top of everything. I mean, we had just come back from mom's funeral together and then this news was dropped."

Despite the initial difficulties, Brady remains committed to his role as a father. "I had to do that work," he said. "I had a part in creating. So I had to do that work."
