Recently, the 61-year-old retired athlete became a hot topic on X, formerly known as Twitter, after a photo of him at the soccer game, where Monaco played against Barcelona, made its rounds online. In the picture, it could be seen that he appeared in good spirits, flashing his radiant smile.

Michael was caught on camera having a seemingly nice conversation with an unidentified man, whose face was not captured in the snap. While his interlocutor was wearing a formal ensemble, Michael went with a casual outfit, including a black tee that came with a high neck design.

The former NBA star, who used to play for Chicago Bulls, covered his head with a black hat, which featured a white Jordan logo on its front side. He accessorized himself with a silver earring and matching chain necklace, which he wore underneath the top.

After the never-before-seen picture was uploaded on the social media platform, X users noticed that his eyes were yellow, leaving them concerned about his health. In the replies section of the tweet, one in particular wrote, "It's a shame when you see your childhood hero sick," adding a crying face emoji.

In the meantime, some users made fun of Michael's yellow eyes. While one of them compared them to "lizard eyes," another likened him to superhero character Nightcrawler. It did not take long for Michael's fans to come to his defense with one saying, "So many rude comments. Not funny at all, show some respect."

Others, meanwhile, seemingly blamed Michael's alleged excessive drinking for his yellow eyes. One user asked, "Are we surprised? Bro drinks like a fish." Previously, Michael admitted to being "a bad alcoholic." He candidly shared, "A lot of times I'll dream I'm a bad alcoholic and I can't stop drinking and embarrassing myself. And I'm going to lose everything. I wake up from that dream in a sweat."
