"They are working out financial details amicably," the insider added, referring to the reported absence of a prenuptial agreement when they married in July 2022.
Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, were spotted holding hands and kissing at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel while their children sat at a separate table.
Affleck's ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, also arrived at the hotel to collect their children, Seraphina and Samuel.
The couple's divorce was first reported in August, with Lopez citing irreconcilable differences. She listed their separation date as April 26 and filed her documents on the second anniversary of their Georgian wedding.
According to reports, the divorce could become contentious due to the lack of a prenuptial agreement. Under California law, couples must divide income earned during their marriage.
Affleck and Lopez have starred in several films together and Lopez has launched her cocktail brand, Delola. Her net worth is estimated at $400 million while Affleck's is $150 million less.
They purchased a Beverly Hills mansion together, which they have since listed for $68 million. Lopez continues to search for a new home while Affleck has acquired a $20.5 million mansion in Pacific Palisades.
Despite the ongoing divorce, the couple prioritizes their children's happiness and continues to support their blended family.
