AceShowbiz - Sean "P. Diddy" Combs remembers his roots amid his mounting legal issues. The rapper, who has been laying low amid allegations of sexual misconduct and sex trafficking, has resurfaced in his birthplace Harlem and reunited with an old friend.
On Sunday, September 9, G. Dep took to his Instagram page to share a photo of himself and Diddy sitting on a stoop. In the caption, the former Bad Boy Records artist expressed his excitement over his former CEO visiting him as he wrote, "Praise the Creator!!! Around! Let's get it!"
Footage that circulated online over the weekend also showed the embattled hip-hop mogul hanging out with his friends in Harlem. The purpose of his visit remains unknown, but G. Dep's post has garnered mixed responses from social media users.
"Diddy only using u right now bc nobody else tryna stand next to him," someone claimed, while another compared Combs to the devil. "Nah G, this ain't it," one commenter reacted to the two rappers' reunion. "Hope this didn't go beyond a picture."
Others, meanwhile, raved over the friendship between the two artists. "That's over 25 years of friendship yall expect them not to link and Diddy ain't been found guilty of nothing," one fan remarked. "Evaluate ya self instead of others. get money Dep," they added. Another echoed the sentiment as saying, "That's great bro !!! It can only help ! Everyone deserves grace."
Diddy has been slapped with multiple lawsuits accusing him of sexual misconduct and sex trafficking among other things. He recently asked a judge to dismiss the allegations by one of his accusers, Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones, leveled at him. He accused the music producer of a cash grab with his $30 million lawsuit.
"He's a monster," Lil Rod told Rolling Stone in response to Diddy's legal action. "He'll do whatever is necessary to get exactly what he wants. He doesn't take no for an answer. He [told me] himself, 'I'll smack my mama.' Anybody who can say that even jokingly is a monster."
"He's nothing to be played with," Lil Rod added. "For a person whose brand is Love Records, and changed their name to Love and named their kid Love, he doesn't show love. He's just marketing."
