The 'Ocean's' franchise is getting ready for new caper with two main cast members, Brad Pitt and George Clooney, expected to reprise their respective roles in the next installment.

AceShowbiz - Warner Bros. and Smokehouse Productions have reportedly been developing "Ocean's 14," which will mark the first film in the franchise without director Steven Soderbergh. Sources indicate that George Clooney and Brad Pitt will return as Danny Ocean and Robert "Rusty" Ryan, respectively.

The studio is reportedly courting Edward Berger, the acclaimed director behind "All Quiet on the Western Front," which won four Oscars including Best International Feature.

Berger is considered an emerging elite filmmaker, with his latest work, "Conclave," receiving rave reviews at the Telluride Film Festival. The drama, starring Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow, and Isabella Rossellini, has been touted as an Oscar contender, with Berger and Fiennes at the forefront of the awards race.

While insiders emphasize that an offer has not yet been extended to Berger, there is growing momentum for the project. It is anticipated that the supporting cast from previous installments, including Matt Damon and Casey Affleck, will also make their return.

Clooney and Pitt recently attended the Venice premiere of their Apple film "Wolfs." In December 2023, Clooney confirmed the development of the "Ocean's 14" script, comparing its tone to the 1979 movie "Going in Style."

The "Ocean's" franchise has been a box office success, with the previous films grossing over $2 billion worldwide. The addition of Berger as director and the return of Clooney and Pitt will likely generate considerable excitement among fans.
