Talk show host Kelly Ripa recently revealed on "Live with Kelly and Mark" that her 23-year-old daughter Lola Consuelos, whom she shares with her husband and co-host Mark Consuelos, wore a dress that came straight out of her closet for the Disney Legends induction ceremony in August.
"That dress that Lola was wearing is 30 years old," Ripa, 53, said. "That was my dress from 30 years ago. So I thought that was pretty cool."
Ripa shared several photos of Lola in the wine-colored halter gown on her Instagram, which she paired with pink heels and blue and gold earrings.
"I was like [to Mark], 'See? Price per wear!' " Ripa joked to her husband, referencing her motto for keeping and reusing old clothing.
Ripa has often mentioned her "price per wear" motto on the show, having once revealed she still wears a Gap nightgown she purchased 35 years ago.
Lola's choice to wear her mother's vintage dress to the event highlights the special bond between the two, and also demonstrates the value of reusing and repurposing clothing. Ripa's daughter proves that style and sustainability can go hand in hand.
