Amy Slaton Halterman, a star of '1000-Lb. Sisters', has been arrested at a Tennessee zoo on Labor Day after a camel bite reportedly led to a drug bust inside her vehicle.

AceShowbiz - On Monday, September 2, 2024, Amy Slaton Halterman and Brian Scott Lovvorn were arrested at the West Tennessee Safari Park following a guest being bitten by a camel. Upon arrival at the guests' vehicle, deputies from the Crockett County Sheriff's Department detected suspicious odors emanating from the car.

During a subsequent search, deputies discovered illegal substances inside the vehicle. Slaton and Lovvorn were arrested and charged with illegal possession of Schedule I and Schedule IV drugs, as well as two counts of child endangerment.

Slaton, 36, and Lovvorn were booked into the Crockett County Jail. No bond or hearing information is currently available.

It remains unclear what drugs were found in the vehicle. The Sheriff's Department has not released any additional details about the incident, including the extent of the camel bite injuries.

The arrest comes amidst Slaton's ongoing custody battle with her ex-husband, Michael Halterman. Slaton has previously filed domestic violence claims against Halterman, which were later dropped. The couple finalized their divorce in September 2023 and share custody of their two sons.
