AceShowbiz - Erika Jayne has stepped out for the first time since Tom Girardi's conviction. After her estranged husband was found guilty for embezzling millions, the star of "The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills" kept it low-key in a new sighting.
On Wednesday, August 28, the 53-year-old reality TV star surfaced in Los Angeles, California. In a series of pictures that made their rounds online, it could be seen that she was walking alone on a street while placing one of her hands inside the pocket of her trousers.
Erika was photographed making her way to her car seemingly after grabbing a can of drink and a bag of snacks. The Bravolebrity, who looked downcast without a smile on her face, was walking towards a parking lot before getting inside her white car.
Erika appeared to have attempted not to be recognized by others. She dressed down in a comfy outfit, including an oversized black top that came with two long sleeves and white graphics on it. She also wore a pair of loose long light gray pants.
Erika completed the look with a pair of black open-toe flat sandals. To shield her face from the harsh direct sunlight, she put on a black hat. Going makeup free, she tucked her long blonde tresses, which cascaded down her back, behind her ears. She also ditched her accessories and bag, holding her smartphone in her hand.
The new sighting came one day after Erika's estranged husband, Thomas Vincent Girardi, was convicted of a massive decade-long embezzlement scheme involving at least $15 million in client settlement funds. After less than a full day of deliberations, a federal jury in downtown Los Angeles found Tom guilty on Tuesday, August 27 of four counts of wire fraud.
The charges stem from a Ponzi scheme in which Tom stole funds from some of his law firm's most vulnerable clients, including those who had sustained severe physical injuries and awaited payment for treatment. Prosecutors alleged that from 2010 to 2020, Tom diverted funds to pay for personal expenses, including lavish vacations, jewelry and his estranged wife's entertainment career.
