AceShowbiz - Jazz Jennings couldn't be more proud of his weight loss journey. Revealing that she has shed almost 100 pounds in two years, the "I Am Jazz" star celebrated the momentum by sharing a video of her body transformation.
The 23-year-old posted the clip on Instagram on Monday, August 26. The footage began with her struggling to run without losing her breath and resting against a wall as she tried to get in shape. It then cuts to a video in which she looked healthier.
"Two years later and almost 100 pounds lighter!" the YouTube personality wrote in the caption. "I'm so proud of my progress and want to thank my family, friends and all who supported me in getting there!"
"Good health is not a certificate you display, it is a constant effort!" she added. "I still have room for improvement, but I am more motivated and inspired than I've been in years. Let's keep it going!"
Jazz was suffering from binge-eating disorder. In June 2021, she told her fans, "As many of you have noticed, over the past few years, I have gained a substantial amount of weight. I suffer from binge-eating disorder, a disease in which I'm not only addicted to food, but I eat it in large quantities."
"My binging, along with an increased appetite I experience from some of the meds I'm on, has caused me to gain almost 100 pounds in a little less than 2 years," she continued. "[I am now] ready to change my ways; I've been saying I'm ready to turn over a new leaf, but I'm running out of trees now. I'm ready to take the initiative and create positive changes when it comes to my health and body."
