AceShowbiz - Sophia Grace Brownlee, who first gained fame alongside her cousin Rosie McClelland for their viral rendition of Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" in 2011, is once again in the spotlight. She revealed the news of her second pregnancy in a YouTube video titled "I'M PREGNANT BABY NUMBER 2" on Sunday, August 25. "So as you can see by the title of this video, I am expecting baby number two," she excitedly announced.
Brownlee, already a mother to 18-month-old son River, shared that she is nearly 20 weeks into her pregnancy. Cautious by nature, she explained, "As a very paranoid, very anxious person, I always like to wait until I'm at least like around the 20-week mark."
The young mother expressed her enthusiasm for sharing her pregnancy journey with her followers, just as she did with River. "I'm actually finding out the gender today," she continued. "I can't even explain to you guys just how excited I am and that video will be coming soon, so stay tuned for that."
In her video, Brownlee flaunted her growing baby bump and shared clips of significant pregnancy milestones, including her first midwife appointment and 12-week scan. Given her previous cesarean section and full dilation to 10 centimeters, her medical team is closely monitoring her for signs of preterm labor. "It's very uncommon, but it does happen," she noted, adding that her first cervix check went well and she will be receiving another check in four weeks.
Reflecting on the future, Brownlee is thrilled about the prospect of River having a sibling close in age. "Because they're quite close in age, they can grow up together, and I just think that's really sweet," she said. "I always wanted a sibling that was really close in age, and I didn't have that, so I want to do that for River."
Brownlee's first taste of motherhood came with its own challenges, including public scrutiny. When she announced her first pregnancy in October 2022, she faced criticism for becoming a mom at age 19 but responded defiantly, stating, "As long as you feel ready and it's something that you're happy about, then it's really no one else's problem."
With a heartfelt journey ahead, Sophia Grace Brownlee continues to captivate her audience, eagerly sharing every step of her motherhood adventure.
