AceShowbiz - Jordana Brewster, known for her role in the "Fast and Furious" franchise, shares her experience of opening up about her surrogacy journey. After publicly discussing her struggles with Yahoo Parenting in 2015, Brewster received overwhelming support and inquiries from other women seeking guidance.
"I had moms reach out to me and say, 'Hey, can you walk me through this?' Or, 'Can you help me with this?' " Brewster tells PEOPLE. "And I think life is all about paying it forward. And so if I can help someone because of the struggles I went through, I'm more than happy to do that."
Brewster's openness about surrogacy has empowered many women. Recognizing the privilege she has in being able to speak out, Brewster emphasizes that her journey should not diminish the challenges faced by those who cannot afford or access fertility treatments.
In her personal life, Brewster shares two sons, Julian, 10, and Rowan, 8, with her ex-husband Andrew Form. She has since married Mason Morfit and is raising a blended family with his four children.
Observing her sons' growth, Brewster expresses her pride in their recent accomplishments. Rowan's involvement in flag football has impressed her with his skills and sportsmanship. "I'm shocked by how much they grow within a year," Brewster says. "He scored two touchdowns yesterday and I was just like, 'Yes!' "
Despite Rowan's success in football, Brewster predicts he will ultimately pursue golf, as he has become enamored with Rickie Fowler after watching the Netflix series "Full Swing".
