AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift, the 34-year-old pop sensation, has achieved an extraordinary milestone by dethroning the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, for the most solo performances played at London's iconic Wembley Stadium in a single tour. With her eight "Eras Tour" stops at Wembley, Swift has broken a record that stood for over 30 years.
During her final London concert on Tuesday, August 20, Swift celebrated her historic achievement. "Because of you, you just made me the first solo artist to ever play Wembley eight times in a single tour," she told attendees. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
While Swift holds the record for solo performances, she is tied with Take That's "Progress Tour" for the most shows performed at Wembley Stadium in a single tour overall.
During her sold-out London residency, Swift performed her biggest hits, including songs from "Fearless" to "The Tortured Poets Department". Notably, she performed with boyfriend Travis Kelce during the June 23 show, and surprised fans with a performance of "So Long, London" for the first time during the European leg finale.
Joining Swift on stage throughout her London shows were a star-studded list of celebrities, including Ed Sheeran, Florence Welch, Jack Antonoff and Paul McCartney.
Despite the delay in her planned Vienna shows, Swift delivered a memorable finale for the European leg of her "Eras Tour" at Wembley Stadium. She premiered the music video for "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart" and offered fans an unforgettable concert experience.
Swift's "Eras Tour" will resume in Miami on October 18 and conclude in Vancouver on December 8.
