AceShowbiz - Lindsay Lohan is brimming with gratitude and joy as she nears the completion of filming for "Freakier Friday". On Monday, August 19, the 38-year-old actress took to Instagram to share her heartfelt thoughts on the experience.
"Happy Monday!" Lohan wrote. "It's our last Monday on the set of #freakierfriday and my heart is so full. The wonderful cast, crew, and everyone from @disneystudios have invested so much time and love into making this movie."
Lohan extended special thanks to her co-star and onscreen mother, Jamie Lee Curtis. "I'm so grateful to have made this film, a story of family, mothers and their children, and a film filled with love, laughter, and a ton of heart," she said. "It has been a pleasure to work with my dear friend @jamieleecurtis, who brings so much joy to our set every day."
Curtis had previously shared her own emotional post, calling Lohan her "ultimate movie daughter" and expressing her delight at wrapping up the project. "The last FRIDAY of this FREAKIEST FRIDAY or shall I call it CRYDAY," she wrote.
The sequel to the 2003 classic "Freaky Friday" sees Lohan reprising her role as Anna Coleman, now an adult with a daughter and stepdaughter. Curtis also returns as Tess Coleman, Anna's mother. The film promises to bring back the body-swap chaos that made the original so memorable.
Joining the returning cast are Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Manny Jacinto. "Freakier Friday" is slated for release in summer 2025.
