AceShowbiz - Rob Schneider has finally responded to his daughter Elle King's critiques. After the "Ex's & Oh's" songstress blasted his parenting, the "Grown Ups" actor issued a public apology to her.

The 60-year-old expressed his remorse in an interview with Tucker Carlson. In a teaser dropped on Wednesday, August 14, he said, "I want to just tell my daughter, Elle, I love you and I wish I was the father in my 20s that you needed and clearly I wasn't and I hope you can forgive me for my shortcomings."

"I love you completely. I love you entirely. And I just want you to be well and happy with you and your beautiful baby, Lucky," he continued. "I wish you the best. I feel terrible and I just want you to know that I don't take anything you say personally."

Schneider shares King with ex-wife London King, to whom he was married from 1988 to 1990. Recently, King made headlines for opening up about the complexities of their relationship on Bunnie XO's "Dumb Blonde" podcast.

"I got four or five years without talking to my dad," King said, noting that reconnection remained out of reach until she "was much, much older." Growing up primarily under her mother and stepfather's care in Ohio, King's childhood visits with Schneider were more confusing than comforting. "If I would ever spend a summer with my dad it would be on a movie set. I would just get lost in the shuffle," she recalled.

King went on to divulge that Schneider sent her to what she described as "fat camp." The Grammy-nominated musician recounted, "I was, like, a really, really heavy child. My dad sent me to fat camp. And then I got in trouble one year because I sprained my ankle and I didn't lose any weight. Very toxic and very silly."

Beyond personal grievances, King also criticized her father's stance on social issues. "You're talking out of you're a** and you're talking s**t about drag and anti-gay rights and it's like get f***ed," she asserted passionately.
