AceShowbiz - T.I. has spoken out following his mistaken arrest in Beverly Hills. The rapper, whose legal name is Clifford Harris, was previously detained due to a possible case of mistaken identity as a result of his shared name with the individual who had an outstanding warrant.
Despite the incident, T.I. maintained his composure, acknowledging the role of law enforcement officers in fulfilling their duties. He urged himself to avoid becoming emotionally involved in heated situations. "They was just doing they job," T.I. told TMZ. "Upset by it? I try to get rid of emotion and deal with the facts at hand."
While his attorney, Steven Sadow, successfully resolved the situation within two hours and an extradition order was dismissed, the incident sparked concerns from the Baltimore State's Attorney's Office and raised questions about the proper use of court commissioners in issuing arrest warrants. The office is investigating the circumstances surrounding T.I.'s case.
The individual with whom T.I. was initially mistaken is facing multiple allegations for violent behavior, stalking, and possible handgun possession.
Meanwhile, T.I. and his wife, Tiny, were accused of sexual assault in a separate lawsuit. The couple's spokesperson stated that the claims are false and expired under the statute of limitations.
