There's allegedly been a lot of complaints from the 'Argo' star's camp about his 'nasty attitude,' while J.Lo's inner circle reportedly brands him 'a triple-A a**hole.'

AceShowbiz - Ben Affleck's attitude has reportedly taken a turn for the worse amid his marital woes with Jennifer Lopez. The actor/filmmaker has been branded "miserable to be around" while he continues navigating his supposed imminent divorce.
A source tells In Touch of how the pair's marriage troubles have affected Ben, "Unfortunately, that makes him miserable to be around and you have to remember that [Matt Damon] is just as close to Ben's brother, [Casey Affleck], as he is to Ben. Right now you have this dynamic where it's Matt and Casey trying to get Ben out of his funk, and Ben, who is older than both of them, resisting every step of the way."
"He hates being told what to do, even by people who have known him their entire lives and can be 'real' with him without fear of getting banished from his circle," the source continues. "Ben also surrounds himself with staff and colleagues who aren't famous, but who have been in his camp for 10 or even 15 years. Among that group, there's been a lot of complaining about Ben's nasty attitude this year."
"I don't think Matt and Casey's prodding is enough to push Ben back into a happier place," the longtime associate of the 51-year-old star claims. "The missing link here is a happy home life, and if Ben can put that into place, things should get a lot smoother for him." The source notes, "He was such a happy guy for all of 2023 but this year has been a completely different animal!"
While his marriage falls apart, Ben reportedly opts to focus his energy on work. "With his latest marriage in shambles and the weight of the world on his shoulders thanks to his responsibilities at his new studio, Artists Equity, Ben has a lot on his plate and clearly doesn't have the time and energy he needs to devote to his closest and longest held friendships," the source says.
"It's a tough situation that Ben has simply decided to work through and use to help him focus on his next project as director," the source explains, referencing Ben's upcoming movie "RIP". "That's just how Ben deals with adversity now that he's committed to staying sober. He buckles down and he focuses on the work."
While Ben's camp has been complaining about his "nasty behavior" amid his split from J.Lo, his wife's inner circle was reportedly never a fan of him. One of his most vocal critics was the singer's longtime manager Benny Medina.
"The two of them can't stand each other. They don't get along and there's still bad blood," a source tells Page Six. Benny, who parted ways with J.Lo in 2003 but was rehired by the Bronx native a few years later, "kept his mouth shut" about their rekindled romance and marriage, but the source claims, "His attitude was, 'I'm gonna say nothing.' [There] was no, 'Good for you,' but also, [he] wasn't negative."
"He knows her and he knew she was going to marry him no matter what, so what's the point?" the source explains.
Benny apparently wasn't the only one who had reservation about Jen and Ben's reconciliation. Her longtime bestie Leah Remini reportedly encouraged the "Atlas" star to think about the reason they broke up in the first place before she jumped back on the love boat with the "Gone Girl" star, but J.Lo wouldn't listen.
"Because he is selfish and not fully committed as a partner," the source says of Ben. But instead of listening to her friend's advice, "J.Lo was so mad she cut off all ties," the source dishes. Reciprocrating the story, a second source claims, "No one, except [Lopez's] mother, likes Ben Affleck. He's a triple-A a**hole."
Ben and J.Lo rekindled their romance in 2021, 17 years after the called off their first engagement. They got married in Las Vegas in July 2022, but have been living apart for the past several months. It's recently reported that they are expected to make their divorce announcement by the end of the summer.
