AceShowbiz - 2024 has been pretty challenging for Hayley Erbert and her husband Derek Hough. The dancer underwent emergency brain surgery right before the end of last year and went through a "long road to recovery" in the following months. The ordeal began on December 7 when she was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel which required an emergency craniectomy.
Hayley had a second surgery to replace a portion of her skull which was removed during the first procedure and her recovery has been described as an "absolute miracle" by her husband Derek. After being medically cleared to return to dance, she returned to the stage alongside her husband on the opening night of their "Symphony of Dance" tour in Melbourne, Florida in April.
