AceShowbiz - Former glamor model Katie Price has announced her intention to undergo additional cosmetic surgery in the coming days, despite her mother Amy's belief that she has body dysmorphia. In an interview with Heat World, Price admitted, "I'm not content now. I'm having more surgery next week. My mum says I've got body dysmorphia."
Body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) involves a preoccupation with perceived flaws in one's appearance, often unnoticed by others. It can severely impact daily life, including relationships and self-esteem.
Prince has a history of extensive cosmetic procedures, including 16 boob jobs, six face lifts, rhinoplasty, Botox, lip fillers, and veneers. Despite her mother's concerns, the 46-year-old insists that her surgeries are a form of self-love, stating, "It's my body and I do what I want to do."
Price previously admitted to struggling with her body image, saying, "I don't ever look in the mirror and think I look good. I never have done. So, there's obviously an underlying issue."
In 2022, Price underwent one of her most significant boob jobs, receiving 2120 CC implants in an attempt to achieve the "biggest breasts in Britain." However, she recently expressed plans to reverse her most recent procedure, saying, "I am going to go smaller and getting healthy back to how I used to."
Price's mother has been outspoken about her daughter's cosmetic surgeries, calling them "ridiculous" and expressing her concerns that they stem from psychological issues. She has even canceled some of Price's scheduled procedures in the past.
Despite these concerns, Price remains adamant in her pursuit of cosmetic enhancements. Her recent decision to go under the knife again has raised questions about her mental well-being and the influence of body dysmorphia on her decisions.
