AceShowbiz - J Balvin is "recharged" and ready to release his sixth solo album "Rayo". The reggaeton artist's upcoming project draws inspiration from his first car of the same name and pays homage to the lightning themes of his 2016 album "Energia".
The album's track list includes "Cosa de Locos", "Polvo de tu Vida" featuring Chencho Corleone, "Swat" featuring Luar La L, "Doblexxo" featuring Feid and "Gaga" featuring Spanish reggaetonero Saiko. "Rayo" marks Balvin's first album since "Jose" in 2021 and his first solo release since "Oasis" with Bad Bunny in 2019.
Described as "the soundtrack to a house party," "Rayo" blends urban styles with a strong emphasis on electronic pop. "Gaga" and "Polvo de tu Vida" showcase EDM-infused influences, departing slightly from Balvin's signature reggaeton sound. Balvin has teased an upcoming album with Ed Sheeran and previously shared that London's nightclub scene played a significant role in the inspiration for "Rayo".
