AceShowbiz - Not everyone is happy with the return of Bridget Jones. According to a new report, Renee Zellweger and the "Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy" team drove Harry Styles and other stars "mad" for making their life difficult in North London.
The production of the fourth installment in the franchise, which saw Renee filming on the streets of Haverstock and Hampstead, took place in areas near to homes of Harry and comedian Ricky Gervais. According to The Sun, residents have been given letters asking them to only leave their homes at certain times.
A source told the outlet, "The film is causing chaos in this part of North London where they are shooting a lot of the film." The source added, "Neighbourhoods with stars such as Harry, [Rami Malek], Ricky Gervais and Rowan Atkinson, living there are all getting letters from the production about not interrupting shots."
"The letters have informed them about when filming is taking place and they have been asked to either leave their homes during this time or not to come and go at certain times," they went on noting. "It's like they're being held hostage by Bridget - and it's driving everyone mad."
Aside from Renee, Hugh Grant and Emma Thompson are also returning to "Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy". The upcoming movie will also see newcomers Chiwetel Ejiofor ("12 Years a Slave", "Love, Actually") and Leo Woodall ("The White Lotus", "One Day").
"Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy" will center on Bridget navigating the challenges of modern life as a mom in her early fifties. Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Jo Wallett will produce through Working Title Films. Amelia Granger and Sarah-Jane Wright will executive produce for Working Title Films producing alongside Helen Fielding.
