AceShowbiz - Erica Mena wasn't impressed by Safaree Samuels' recent candid interview. The "Love & Hip Hop" alum called out her ex-husband for lamenting his breakup with Nicki Minaj, wherein he said was the "biggest struggle" he had to overcome.

"I will FOREVER be embarrassed I gave sis these incredible beautiful babies," the 36-year-old argued underneath The Shade Room's Instagram post on Tuesday, July 9. "He don't even talk or care about his seeds this much online or in real life."

Erica, who shares Safire, 4, and Legend, 3, with Safaree, hasn't done dragging her former spouse. She added in another comment, "Hopefully sis can end his dead beat struggle next."

Safaree opened up about his split from Nicki when appearing on "We in Miami" podcast. "I'm not even going to sugarcoat s**t. I was with Nicki, we broke up, so her fans and certain people they just wanted it to be like, 'OK, they're not together no more. F**k him! Let him be nothing. Let him disintegrate. Let him disappear,' " he explained.

"But nine, 10 years later - 10, 15 TV shows later, lot of music out later - I'm still here and, you know, some people don't like that," Safaree added. The rapper and TV personality went on to claim that their 2014 breakup "made everybody against" him.

"Nobody wanted to be next to me, nobody wanted to work with me," the 43-year-old further alleged. "So it just made everything hard. That was a dark time for me."

Nicki dated rapper Meek Mill following her breakup with Safaree, but she is now married to Kenneth Petty, with whom she shares son Papa Bear. As for Safaree, he wed Erica in 2019, but the latter filed for divorce from him while she was pregnant with their second child in 2021.

Erica and Safaree finalized their divorce in March 2022. At that time, Erica celebrated her freedom by partying in a nightclub. "I'm officially divorced," she told the crowd. "We celebrated new life, we celebrated freedom and we celebrated that we're bad b***h and we run this mother f**ka world."
